About Dr. Zahid Iqbal Mir

Dr. Zahid Iqbal Mir is a Laparoscopic and General Surgeon with over 6 years of post-MS experience in surgical practice, teaching, and academic research. He completed his MBBS and MS in Surgery from the prestigious Government Medical College, Jammu.

Subsequently, he completed his registrarship at GMC Jammu, followed by Senior Residency at Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh.

He has served as a Consultant and Assistant Professor at leading institutions, including Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Mohali. His clinical practice is grounded in a patient-first, ethical, and evidence-based approach, with a focus on delivering safe, precise, and individualised surgical care.

Dr. Mir has a particular interest in advanced laparoscopic procedures, complex hernia surgery, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgery, trauma and emergency surgery, and comprehensive proctological procedures.

He is also the Founder of “LOVE FOR SCALPEL,” an academic and educational platform dedicated to MBBS students, MS/DNB surgical residents, postgraduate aspirants, and young surgeons, aimed at promoting practical surgical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and excellence in surgery.
